Students from Stevenson Intermediate School visited Jefferson Elementary School Monday to demonstrate some specially modified electronic toys.

The older students have formed a team they call "The Invention Factory."

They learn electronic and electrical engineering skills.

The students used those skills to modify toys so disabled children at Jefferson School's Orthopedic Unit could play with them.

Rep. Mazie Hirono visited the school during Monday's demonstration to see the toys in action. The congresswoman said she was impressed.
