Hawaiian Gives Aloha Ticketsholders Free Flights Until Thur.POSTED: 4:37 pm HST March 31,
2008 HONOLULU -- Hawaiian Airlines officials on Monday said the company will honor Aloha Airlines' interisland tickets on standby until Thursday.The company said it is adding 6,000 seats to the interisland routes during the days it is allowing Aloha ticketholders to fly free.It is also adding its wide body Boeing 767 to Maui flights throughout the day."That will open up opportunities on a free-of-charge, standby basis for displaced Aloha customers to hopefully be accommodated tomorrow," Hawaiian Airlines Vice President of Customer Service Blaine Miyasatos said.The Hawaiian flights will take the Aloha customers in a first-come-first-served basis as standby fliers starting at 4 a.m. on Tuesday. Aloha ticketholders must have a reservation for the same day they are standing by.After the Thursday flights, Hawaiian Airlines said Aloha ticketholders would have to purchase tickets at regular prices.
