Students at Honolulu Community College's sheet metal program were making a special creation for Valentine's Day.

Check out our Valentine's Day section.

Students created handmade roses from galvanized metal.

The program's instructor said it is something creative that his students enjoy making.

"They want to make it, so it's not hard to teach. It's there. They want to do it. As you can see, my students are here early, before their class, trying to make more," instructor Danny Aiu said.

The metal roses cost $4 each. The roses were being sold as quickly as students could make them in the morning.
