HONOLULU -- Hawaii Superferry officials said the vessel will resume service on Monday after being docked for more than a week because of high seas and cracks in the ship's auxiliary rudders.Rough seas prompted the company to suspend its daily trip to Maui. Then Superferry officials confirmed cracks were found on the ship's auxiliary rudders during an inspection after KITV asked.
The repairs have been completed and the ferry received approval from the Coast Guard to begin sailing again after the vessel conducted sea trials.
