Fireworks Permits Go On Sale Wednesday

POSTED: 3:32 am HST December 25, 2007

Besides the after-Christmas sales, thousands of Hawaii residents will line up on Tuesday to purchase fireworks to ring in the New Year.

Honolulu residents who want to buy firecrackers can purchase the $25 permits at satellite City Halls or through the vendors. The permit allows a person to purchase up to 5,000 firecrackers. You can purchase more than one permit.

Customers do not need permits to buy novelty items such as sparklers and fountains.

Customers can buy fireworks from Dec. 26 until midnight on Dec. 31.

Every year thousands of Hawaii families buy up firecrackers and novelty fireworks starting the day after Christmas.
