HONOLULU -- Friends of a woman from Japan have launched a Web site to help find her since her disappearance on Oahu's North Shore six months ago.Members of the United Japanese Society of Hawaii are spearheading the effort, with the support of Honolulu council members. They distributed fliers and information on Masumi Watanabe, 21, who was abducted while walking in Pupukea on April 12.Her body has never been found."The whole purpose of this Web site is to produce the needed tip that will lead to Masumi's recovery so she can be returned to Japan," said Bob Inuma of the United Japanese Society of Hawaii. "We plead to the people of this great state of Hawaii to help speed up Masumi's body recovery."Watanabe's parents gave their blessing to the Web site.Police charged Kirk Lankford in connection with her kidnapping and killing. His trial is scheduled for July.
