HONOLULU -- Some unusual twists occurred Tuesday in a battle between two of the state's interisland air carriers.

Hawaiian Air claimed Mesa Air's Chief Financial Officer destroyed evidence related to its lawsuit and then lied about it.

Mesa's lawyers said they plan to argue that he did this because he was viewing pornography.

In bankruptcy court Tuesday, a computer expert said George Murnane changed the internal clock in his laptop and used software to permanently delete files.

The company placed Murnane on administrative leave, Friday.
