Added police presence for the University of Hawaii at Manoa has hit a snag.

UH officials announced on Wednesday that two special-duty Honolulu Police Department officers would patrol the campus from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting Sunday.

HPD and the university on Thursday said that most likely will not happen.

The chief of security at UH said the special duty patrols are on hold. More discussions between the police department and the UH are planned.

There is no word on what is causing the delay.
