Ingredients:
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 TBS fresh ginger minced
  • 1 TBS tahini (sesame paste you get at health food stores)
  • 1/2 cup tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup sesame oil
  • 1 TBS brown sugar
  • 3 TBS white wine
  • 4 large Portobello caps
  • 1 TBS peanut oil
  • Instructions:
    1. In a small bowl, combine garlic, ginger and tahini. Stir in tamari, sesame oil, sugar and wine and blend well.
    2. Put mushroom caps in shallow bowl. Add tamari mixture, turning to coat. Let stand 15 minutes, turning once.
    3. In a large skillet or grill pan, heat peanut oil over medium high heat. Cook mushrooms (reserve liquid) and cook, turning once, until browned and slightly soft, about 5 minutes.
    4. To serve cut mushrooms at a slight angle.
