Police Arrest Man In Connection To Missing Woman

Watanabe Missing For Two Weeks

Police said they have arrested a 22-year old man in connection with the disappearance of a visitor from Japan.

Masumi Watanabe has been missing for two weeks, police said. They said she was last seen walking on Pupukea Road.

Police arrested the man about Thursday evening in Kalihi on charges of second-degree murder, indicating that they believe Watanabe was killed, police said.

Honolulu police are holding a press conference Thursday night, and KITV will have more information on Island Television News at 10 p.m.
