Gary Sprinkle's Pacific Adventures

Award-winning Pacific Adventures, formerly known as Hawaii's Wildlife Heritage, is a series of half-hour specials broadcast on KITV4.

Gary Sprinkle's EmmyIt is written and produced by Emmy Award winning Gary Sprinkle and has received accolades from environmentalists and adventurers alike.

In 2004, Gary won three Society of Professional Journalists awards. He captured an award for feature reporting for his coverage of the Mokulua Project. The society recognized his work in Pacific Adventures: Kauai for special news program. He also won the award for public service reporting for Pacific Adventures: Pohnpei.

In 2002, Gary and cameraman Sonny Ahuna won an emmy for Informational Program for "Pacific Adventures: The Big Island."

In 2000, Gary and cameraman Rex Von Arnswaldt show "Pacific Adventures: Molokai" won the Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureaur's Kahili award for best media/broadcast documentary.

In 1998, "Pacific Adventures: Palau" and "Pacific Adventures: Sri Lanka" captured Emmy Awards for excellence in programming.

In 1995, the Hawaii Visitors Bureau named "Humpbacks in Hawaii" Best Documentary of the Year...and the Wildlife Society named Sprinkle 1994 Environmentalist of the Year in five western states.

In 1996, Pacific Adventures "Shadow of the Shark" won the Society of Professional Journalists Best Documentary Award. In 1997, Pacific Adventures "Palau" SPJ's Best Documentary Award.
