Police Search For Missing Woman On North Shore

Honolulu police launched a search for a Japanese visitor who was last seen on Oahu's North Shore.

Masumi Watanabe, 21, was last seen at about 9:20 a.m. walking on Pupukea Road near Alapio Road.

Police said Watanabe speaks very little English.

Watanabe's Description:
  • Ethnicity: Japanese
  • Age: 21
  • Eyes: brown
  • Hair: Black
  • Clothing: navy blue, hooded, long-sleeve sweater; brown shirt; blue, denim pants; and pink shoes
  • Other: glasses with silver rims
  • Police said that anyone with information about Watanabe's whereabouts should call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
