HONOLULU -- United Public Workers leader Gary Rodrigues and his daughter were indicted Wednesday on charges related to the union's benefits plan.
The 102-count indictment alleges that Rodrigues and his daughter, Robin Haunani Rodrigues Sabatini, accepted more than $100,000 in kickbacks in connection with an employee welfare benefit plan.
In March, they were indicted on 43 counts for allegedly embezzling from the union's medical and dental plans through overcharging. Both pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Their trial is scheduled for January.
