Officials Close Kauai Beach After Shark Sighted

HONOLULU -- Kauai Ocean Safety Bureau officials on Tuesday closed a beach in Kekaha after a shark was spotted in the area.Officials said that a 6- to 8-foot white tip reef shark was seen swimming around Inters Beach.The beach will remain closed until officials feel it is safe for people to enter the water, according to a Kauai County representative.Officials urge people who want to go in the water to visit other beaches.
