Bush Cabinet Members To Attend Officer's Funeral

Two members of President George W. Bush's Cabinet will attend the funeral of a Honolulu police officer who died after crashing his motorcycle while on the detail of the presidential motorcade.

Interior Secretary Dirk Kempthorne and Commerce Secretary Carlos M. Gutierrez will attend Officer Steve Favela's funeral on Friday.

Favela, 30, died from injuries he received when his motorcycle crashed on Hickam Air Force Base.

Two other motorcycle officers also crashed in the accident. They were not seriously injured.

Favela was an eight-year veteran of the Honolulu Police Department, a husband and father of four.
