A Vancouver, Canada, woman killed in a car crash on the Big Island Friday night was remembered by her sister as a bright, funny person who loved to travel.

Candice Chisholm, 32, and her boyfriend, Owen Romaine, 33, died in the crash.

It happened in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, when a Big Island man's Porsche SUV crossed the centerline and struck two other vehicles, killing five people.

Candice Chisholm's sister spoke to KITV from Canada.

"This is going to effect people rest of our lives. My sister and Owen were stolen from me, and my own life seems pretty, pretty terrible right now," Colleen Chisholm said.

The man who police said caused the crash, Samuel Furtado, had been convicted twice before for driving under the influence of alcohol. Furtado's ex-wife said he had a long history of drug and alcohol abuse.

He was killed in the crash along with his passengers: Loretta Rafferty, 46, and Lucia Clearwater, 60.
