Divers Recover More Bodies From Ehime MaruTeams Try To Soak Leaking FuelPOSTED: 6:42 p.m. HST October 19, 2001 HONOLULU -- Navy divers searching the Ehime Maru recovered a fifth and sixth body Friday while the medical examiner identified two others.
Toshiya Sakashima, 17, was identified as well as crewmember Toshimichi Furuya.
The fifth body will be brought to the surface following Friday's dive.
A secondary mission is to capture fuel that has been leaking from the Ehime Maru. Absorbent pads continue to soak up oil while divers plug leaking holes in the ship.
