Health Officials Issue Water Warning

The Department of Health issued a brown water advisory because of heavy rains around the state.

Floodwaters may contain pollutants from overflowing sewer manholes, septic systems, herbicide/pesticide debris and animal droppings, health officials said.

They advised the public to stay out of coastal waters impacted by the storm runoff for several days until conditions clear.
