HONOLULU -- Residents on the Big Island felt a slight tremor on Wednesday morning from a 3.1 earthquake.
It happened at 6:40 a.m. about 33 miles west of Kawaihae and 4.3 miles deep, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
No problems have been reported from the latest tremor.
The big quake hit Sunday. A 6.7 tremor shook the Big Island, causing damage along the west coast. The quake could be felt as far away as Kauai. It knocked out power on Oahu, parts of Maui and the Big Island. A 6.0 quake followed the first by seven minutes.
The Big Island has been shaken by a number of aftershocks since Sunday, with at least two measuring 4.0 or more.
