Lingle Surveys Damage On Big Island

Gov. Linda Lingle was on the Big Island on Sunday when the earthquake struck.

Lingle was staying at the Mauna Lani Hotel for an event.

She started her tour from the Kona police station. She then went out to the Hilo side of the island.

The governor finished her tour and left for Honolulu.

Lt. Gov. James "Duke" Aiona went to monitor the situation at state Civil Defense headquarters.
