Police Search For Homeless Man For Questioning

Maui police are investigating a possible attempted homicide case that left a homeless man with second-degree burns to half his body on Thursday morning.

A 27-year-old man went to the Shell gasoline station in Paia early in the morning. The man said someone set him on fire while he was asleep, police said.

Paramedics treated the victim and took him to Maui Memorial Medical Center.

Police are looking for a homeless man they want to speak to with about the case.
