HONOLULU -- Police said they have arrested a 19-year old man for the fatal stabbing of a 27-year-old woman.

Honolulu police said the man entered the woman's apartment in the lower McCully area at about 4 a.m. Saturday.

The woman's husband awoke to his wife screaming and was attacked by the suspect, police said. The couple's toddler was also injured.

The woman was taken to an area hospital where she died. Her husband and daughter were also taken to the hospital. The man was listed in serious condition and the toddler was said to be in stable condition.

The man was also treated for lacerations to his hands.

Police recovered a large kitchen knife at the scene and said they believed that to be the murder weapon.

At this time, police do not believe the man and victims were related.
