HONOLULU -- Hawaii's Michelle Wie failed to sign her scorecard after Friday's second round of the State Farm Classic, disqualifying her from competition, ESPN reports.Read more about the latest turn of events with ESPN's story.Before the violation, Wie shot herself into contention Friday with a 65 at the LPGA State Farm Classic in Springfield, Ill.Wie carded an eagle and five birdies in the second round at Panther Creek Country Club. The bogey-free round put her at 12-under for the tournament and tied for second with three other players. Wie's ScorecardShe was one stroke behind the leader, Christina Kim.The solid performance came after a difficult 2007 season in which she missed a number of cuts and a rocky beginning of this season.Wie accepted a sponsor's exemption to play in the event.
