Man, Boy Killed In Crash On Farrington Highway

A 4-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man were killed Thursday night in a two-car accident in Nanakuli that involved speed and alcohol, police said.

It happened at about 10:20 p.m., on Farrington Highway near Hakimo Road.

A pickup truck traveling eastbound hit a guardrail crossed two lanes, hit a car, then hit tree, a wall, flipped onto a car roof and hit a parked car.

The boy who was killed was riding in the first car struck. He was in a booster seat with his parents and his 1-year-old sister.

A 27-year-old man driving the truck was thrown from the vehicle during the crash and died from head injuries, officials said.

A 28-year-old woman riding in the passenger seat of the truck survived.

The family in the car and the woman in the truck were all taken to hospitals.

The boy was pronounced dead at Queen's Medical Center.
