A 22-year-old man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl was a friend of the family and dated the victim's older sister, according to court documents.

Matt Faith made his first appearance in the case in court on Monday morning.

Police charged him with first-degree sexual assault and is being held on $50,000 bail.

It happened in November at the victim's home, police said.

Faith was sleeping over after drinking with the victim's father who had passed out, according to court documents.

The teen said Faith sexually assaulted her while she tried to sleep. She said she tried to get away and told him, "You're old enough to know right from wrong."

She said he told her, "Don't worry about it. It'll be over before you know it." She then told him to get off her.

After the attack, according to the documents, the girl said Faith told her, "If you say anything, I'll come after you."

The girl said Faith tried to attack her again the next day when her father took her brother to a soccer game.

It said the victim said she kept the attack a secret until April.
