A day after new interisland airline Go! announced $19 one-way tickets, Aloha Airlines announced it is going to offer 2,000 free one-way tickets.

The tickets will be given to the first customers starting on Friday.

Of the 1,000 round-trip interisland tickets, 500 of the tickets are going to be given to the first customers at the Honolulu International Airport ticket counter and 100 will be given to the first customers at Maui's Kahului Airport, Kauai's Lihue Airport and the Big Island's Kona and Hilo airports.

The other 100 round-trip tickets will be given away in a random drawing that people can enter at the airports.

Times Give-Away Begins:
  • Honolulu - 7 a.m. (outside Aloha departures lobby)
  • Kahului - 9 a.m. (south end of Aloha terminal)
  • Lihue, Kona, Hilo - 9 a.m. (Aloha baggage claim)
  • The new airline Go! starts its flight schedule on Friday. The company announced on Wednesday that it will offer a limited number of $19 one-way fares. In March, Go!'s parent company, Mesa Airlines, began offering $39 one-way fares before Go! started flying. Hawaiian Airlines and Aloha Airlines matched the prices at that point.
