Someone could win nearly a quarter of a billion dollars Tuesday night.

The Mega Millions lottery jackpot has been growing since Sept. 17.

It has rolled over 13 times with no winner.

The jackpot is worth an estimated $225 million.

The top official at the Virginia Lottery told Associated Press Radio that interest really picks up at about $200 million.

Donna Van Cleave said it's "a definite long shot" to win.

The odds of winning the top prize are about one in 176 million. But she said people can "have a little fun."

Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
