No Big Winner; Mega Millions Jackpot Swells

ATLANTA -- Just a few days after someone hit the $340 million Powerball jackpot, the nation's other multi-state lottery game is growing again. The Mega Millions $128 million jackpot went begging Tuesday evening, and that means Friday's kitty will rise to $147 million. However, six players came very close Tuesday, by matching five of the six winning numbers. Each of those tickets is worth $250,000. The winning numbers were 7, 12, 18, 31, and 55. The Mega Ball was 30.Mega Millions is played in 12 states: California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
