Wal-Mart Recalls Candle Gift Collection
POSTED: 12:53 p.m. EST December 12, 2003
Wal-Mart is recalling a candle gift set collection because paint used on the candles could pose a fire hazard.
The company, which hasn't heard any reports of injuries, is recalling 69,804 units of the Snow House Candle gift set; 29,064 units of the Snowman Candle gift set; and 62,428 units of the Snowflake Candle gift set.
Each Home Trends Ice Holiday Collection Candle gift set contains three candles with one of three scenes painted on the exterior: snow house winter, snowman or snowflake design.
Wal-Mart stores nationwide sold these candle gift sets from September 2003 through November 2003 for about $10.
Consumers should stop using the candles immediately and return them to Wal-Mart for a full refund. For more information, call (800) 925-6278.
