A local bank is helping its employees with kids affected by furlough Fridays.

Central Pacific Bank is providing free day care for young children at the bank's headquarters in Downtown Honolulu. They hired Kama'aina Kids to supervise the children.

About 20 employees took advantage of the offer including Jon Yoshino who has 9-year-old twin boys.

"It also gives me a chance to ride with them to work. Take them out to lunch and then take them home so it's a little quality time, right. It also got me in the car pool lane today so that was an added benefit," Yoshino said.

It worked out because the bank had an empty conference room equipped with computers, tables and chairs along with a television for DVDs, games and toys, CPB officials said.
