The lingerie store opened at Ala Moana Center with super model Marissa Miller pulling the maile lei open.

The line of people snaked away from the store on the mall level down to Sears, to the parking lot, past Jamba Juice and wrapped around Sears to the ocean side of the department store.

"As I'm speaking to you right now. My hands are clammy. I'm really excited. Victoria's secret makes you feel like a woman," said Ashley Fennell, who stood in line for three hours.

Many women in line said they have waited for years for the popular store to make its way to the islands.

"Women all over the country love our products and a lot of women since we've been in town say 'We love shopping in your catalog. We can't wait to start shopping in your store,'" Victoria's Secret spokeswoman Nicole Gibbons said.

The lingerie chain has 1,000 stores worldwide. The Ala Moana store is 18,000-square feet.

Victoria's Secret is part of the Limited Brands, which also owns Bath and Bodyworks.
