Gas Prices Climb On Most Islands

Gas prices for most of the state are on the rise.

Drivers on Oahu and the Big Island saw an increase in prices this week. Honolulu drivers saw a gallon of regular go up 5 cents to $3.54, according to AAA.

In Hilo, the average price hit $3.61, up 7 cents from last week.

On Maui, Wailuku drivers are shelling out $3.91 per gallon, but they saw a slight break with gas dropping 3 cents from a record high set last week.

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline for Hawaii at the same time last year was $2.975, according to AAA.
