Where Can I Spay Or Neuter My Pet?
The City & County of Honolulu, the Hawaiian Humane Society and Oahu veterinarians jointly support Neuter Now, a program that provides low-cost spaying and neutering for owned dogs and cats.How does it work? Neuter Now certificates are valid for three months. There are two levels of fees.
For Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cardholders: $20 for any cat or dog.
No other charges may be added.
Neuter Now certificates for EBT cardholders must be purchased in person by the animal's owner and the cardholder must show their EBT card and a government-issued photo I.D. at the time of purchase.For all other Oahu residents:
$40 for a male cat
$50 for a female cat
$50 for a male dog
$75 for a female dog
Purchase a sterilization certificate at the Hawaiian Humane Society or any Satellite City Hall. Non-EBT Neuter Now certificates may be purchased in person or via fax or mail; see below.When you purchase a certificate you will also receive a copy of a Neuter Now brochure with full details of the program. Using Adobe Acrobat, you may print the Brochure (4-page PDF document)You may download the following form and fax it to the Hawaiian Humane Society (fax: 955-6034) with your credit card information. If you are paying by check, download the Application Form and mail it with your check to Hawaiian Humane Society, 2700 Waialae Avenue, Honolulu, HI 96826. We will then mail the Neuter Now certificate to you. NOTE: EBT Neuter Now certificates must be purchased in person at the Hawaiian Humane Society or any Satellite City Hall.Call one of the Participating Veterinarians to make an appointment for a presurgical examination and the surgery. The Neuter Now certificate covers the cost of the presurgical exam and the surgery. Certificates are valid for 3 months.Who is eligible for Neuter Now?This subsidized service is available to all residents of Oahu.
