Want To Adopt A Pet?

The adoption process takes about an hour at the Hawaiian Humane Society at 2700 Waialae Avenue. Give yourself plenty of time to find just the right companion animal. You will be asked to fill out an Adoption Profile (see below) and talk with an adoption counselor. (You may want to download an Adoption Profile, fill it out at home, and bring it with you.) Adoption hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. weekends and holidays.

Got a special need? Want a special breed? We can help. Fill out the profile and the Humane Society will keep a look out for your special preferences for 30 days. (Any animal except puppies and kittens.) This information will help us make the best placement possible -- the right home for each animal and the animal most compatible with your lifestyle.
