We are verry fond of this beautifull festival with all the lovely flowers and leaves, leis and Hakuleis, and of course the musik, since we came to Hawaii several times to see our Friends in Kailua, and in 1995 watched the Merrie Monarch festival life in Hilo. My roommate in Nurse's training was from Kauai and she taught me hula many, many years ago. I have danced from that time until now at the age of 71. This is the first time I have been able to watch something as spectacular as what I have been watching the last few nights. Thank you so much for having a way that these beautiful dancers can be watched in so many places. Last year I was at the Merrie Monarch dancing at the Ho´ike Mexican folkloric dances, and I was also there in 2001. These were unforget able experiences which I consider as a gift from God. It was awsome to be on that important stage dancing to that expert audience sharing part of our Mexican culture. I love hula and the environment around the Merrie Monarch Festival. I hope I can go again. Can you reserve a seat for me for 2011 please????? Mahalo! Laura Garcia Aloha KITV, Been a faithful fan of the Merrie Monarch for 20 years. Can you tell me what is on the heads of those women in white from Oahu?
