Kapolei lights up this Saturday
The 12th Annual Kapolei City Lights will be held Saturday, Dec. 8 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from the Kapolei Fairgrounds to Kapolei Hale.
The Electric Light Parade will have 35 floats and vehicles, marching bands and special guests. The route starts at Kealanani Avenue (Kapolei Fairgrounds), turning left on Farrington Highway, crossing the intersection at Makakilo Drive and Fort Barrette Road, on to Kamokila Boulevard, turning left into Uluohia Street and left again on Haumea Street where the parade ends.
After the parade, families can enjoy a selection of food trucks and entertainment as well as the lighting of the 40-foot Christmas tree by Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle and a fireworks show. The street party goes from 7:15 p.m. through 10 p.m.
