The World Health Organization could raise the alert level over the H1N1 flu (formerly called swine flu), but state health officials said that it is not because it has gotten worse.

Geography would be the main reason why the alert level would go to six, state health officials said. The flu has now been confirmed in 13 countries and 367 cases.

The number of cases in the U.S. has gone up to 141 in 19 states.

Mexico City officials said they have seen evidence that the illness is letting up. Officials have confirmed 156 cases of the flu in that country.

The state hot line that officials set up for the H1N1 flu has received 460 calls from people wanting more information about the illness.

State officials expect to receive more test kits for the flu next week.
