State officials on Monday afternoon said there are no confirmed cases of swine flu.

Officials laid out their plans to monitor and prepare for any potential cases in the islands.

Since so many travelers fly through the state, officials are keeping a close eye at visitors to the islands.

Adjutant Gen. Robert Lee has spoken with Homeland Security officials about the outbreak. So far, 40 cases have been identified on the mainland.

The emergency declaration Sunday by President Barack Obama's administration released stockpiles of Tamiflu. There is no vaccine for swine flu, but Lee said Tamiflu is effective.

Health officials said people should take the standard precautions: Wash your hands, don't cough on people and stay home if you have a cold or flu.
