Sign-up for the 2009 Envision Hawaii Conference at the Hawaii State Capitol from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m this Saturday, November 14.

Envision Hawaii is a nonprofit organization that began in 2003 as an informal gathering of young people and social entrepreneurs with a common vision - to bring together and support each other through networking, professional development and civil service.

Today, Envision Hawaii looks forward to its largest event with 200 attendees expected this year. More than twenty-five leaders from the community will participate in four-panel discussions on change. The panels will cover every aspect of change from realizing opportunities, learning how-to initiate it, to employing the tools and the role of ethics. Panelists represent many sectors – nonprofit, government, and business.

The keynote speaker, Dr. Paul Zorner, is the president and CEO of Hawaii BioEnergy, a corporation established by three of Hawai'i's largest landowners: Kamehameha Schools, Grove Farm Company Inc. and Maui Land and Pineapple. Zorner’s work building capacity for renewable energy spans from Hawaii and the U.S. mainland to Mozambique and India. His role in a constantly changing industry and its focus on greening our planet, will offer valuable lessons for conference attendees.

Conference attendees will have multiple networking opportunities, ending with a pau hana reception at the YWCA.
