11/14 - Go Green Day at Ilima Intermediate School

Ilima Intermediate School in Ewa Beach will be having a Go Green Day event on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. that promotes the 3 R's: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, as well as healthy and sustainable living.

The aim of the event is to entertain and educate as well as to inspire Hawaii residents to think more about recycling and conservation efforts. There will be a HI-5 recycling center, waterless carwash, green demonstrations, professional face painting, the "Amaizing" giant maze, inflatable cars, food, snacks, games, prizes and much more! Students of Ilima Intermediate will be participating in our first "Trashion Show" sponsored by The Lei Ilima Program and Coalition for a Drug Free Hawaii. Their fashions will be based on as much material as possible that would otherwise go into the landfill in various categories. The overall top winner will receive a Wii Sports System!
