"Gimme Lean" is vegetarian sausage found in the fridge section at down to earth packaged in sort of a tube.
Ingredients: 1/2 package Gimme Lean sausage style 1/2 cup shredded Chinese cabbage 2 TBS finely chopped red bell pepper 1/4 cup chopped green onion 1 TBS Ener-G Egg Replacer (mixed with 2 TBS water) 2 tsp ketchup 1 tsp yellow mustard 1 tsp sugar 2 tsp Worcestershire sauce 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper wonton wrappersInstructions: - Mix all the filling ingredients (everything except wonton wrappers) in a mixing bowl.
- Place a spoonful of filling on a wrapper, fold it up into a crinkled pattern. Keep filling wrappers until all the filling is used. (Makes about a dozen.) Place them in a Chinese steamer, put the steamer in a large pot with boiling water. Cover and steam for about 12 minutes.
- These can also be fried as pot stickers.
- Serve these with sauce made of Chinese mustard and soy sauce.
