This is good to use in stir fries and salads. A few minutes of simmering is worth the end result.
Ingredients: 2 TBS tamari or soy sauce 3 TBS maple syrup 3 TBS mirin 1 pound extra firm tofu, drained and pressed for 15 minutes 1 TBS vegetable oil Instructions: - Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, and mirin in a bowl. Set aside.
- Cut tofu into 3/4 inch cubes. Heat oil in non-stick skillet over medium high heat. Add tofu, and fry until golden, turning every three minutes for about 10 minutes total.
- Add soy mixture and cook 3 to 4 minutes, turning, until tofu is coated with glaze.
