Super Asian Stir Fry Sauce

This is the best stir fry I have found in years.

Sauce Ingredients:
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 TBS soy sauce
  • 2 TBS oyster sauce (can substitute vegetarian Shiitake stir fry sauce)
  • 2 TBS chili paste (to taste –this much makes is REALLY hot)
  • 1 TBS tamarind paste (if you cannot find tamarind paste substitute 1 TBS vinegar)
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • Mix ingredients and add about 1/8 to 1/4 cup water to thin it out a bit.

    Ingredients:
    Vegetables: (This is up to you- combine your favorite veggies as available)
  • Bok choy
  • Sliced carrots
  • Sliced red onions
  • Broccoli florets
  • Straw mushrooms (or any mushroom)
  • Sliced celery
  • Sliced heart of palm
  • Snow peas or sugar snap peas
  • Instructions: In a wok or large non stick pan heat several tablespoons of oil, then add 1–2 TBS sliced green onions, a tsp minced ginger, tsp minced garlic, some chopped cilantro. Add the veggies and stir fry. Then add the sauce and mix well. Serve over rice or noodles.
