Sherry is a fortified wine to which brandy has been added to increase the flavor and alcoholic content. Sherries vary in color, flavor, and sweetness. Finos are dry and light; manzanillas are very dry, delicate finos with a hint of saltiness. Olorosos, often labeled cream or golden sherry, are darker in color and sweet.
