Fried Tofu With Assorted Vegetables

Ingredients:
  • Firm Tofu, 1 cube
  • Black mushrooms, 3 pieces, softened with water
  • Bamboo shoots (heads), 1-2 pieces, sliced
  • Green bell pepper, one half, cubed
  • Hot chili, 1, shredded
  • Ginger, 2 pieces
  • Sesame oil, 1tbsp
  • Rice flour or corn starch, plenty (or 3 tbsp)
  • Salt, 1 tsp
  • Amino Acid or Soy sauce, 2 tbsp
  • Brown sugar or maple syrup, 1 tbsp
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Directions:
    1. Cut Tofu to thin triangles. Dip them in rice flour and fry in heated oil until golden. Take out and set aside.
    2. Sauté ginger, chili, bamboo shoots, black mushrooms and bell pepper in heated oil. After the mushrooms are cooked, add tofu back in.
    3. Add salt, soy sauce, brown sugar and black pepper. Mix 1 tsp of corn starch with water to thicken the dish. Add sesame oil.

    Serves 2-3 people
