Broccoli Stir Fry

It's the Chinese style sauce that makes this taste great.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 head broccoli, cut into florets with stems trimmed
  • 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced julienne
  • 1/4 cup toasted almond slices
  • Peanut oil for frying
  • Sauce:
  • 2 TBS vegetarian oyster sauce
  • 2 TBS soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 3/4 cup vegetable broth
  • 1/4 tsp white pepper
  • Directions:
  • mix 1 TBS cornstarch 1-2 TBS water for thickening at the end
  • Stir fry the broccoli in oil in a hot wok for several minutes. Add the red bell pepper. Add the sauce, heat thru and continue cooking until broccoli in tender.
  • Add cornstarch mix to thicken. Top with almond slices.
