Ma Po Tofu (Spicy Tofu)

Ingredients:
  • Tofu, 1.5 block, cubed
  • Peanut oil, 2 tsp
  • Chili bean sauce or any hot chili sauce, 1tsp
  • Corn starch, 1 tsp
  • Liquid Amino, 2 tsp or soy sauce, 1 tsp
  • Chili powder, ½ tsp
  • Sesame oil, 1 tsp
  • Chinese parsley, a few sprigs
  • Instructions:
    1. Boil tofu in boiling water for a minute (optional).
    2. Fry tofu cubes in peanut oil until slightly brown. Reduce heat and add spicy sauce.
    3. Add mixture of corn starch, soy sauce, chili powder and a little bit of water.
    4. Place tofu in a serving plate and add sesame oil and parsley leafs on top. Serves 2-3.
