From Ori Ann Li - Mrs. Hawaii International

Ingredients:
  • 1 bunch of Blue lake/green beans, cut in half
  • 1/4 cup dried vegetarian ground "pork"
  • 1/8 cup sliced almonds
  • 1 tbs cooking oil or less
  • 2 oz water
  • 1 tbs liquid amino acid or shoyu
  • A pinch of dried red pepper
  • Ginger slices
  • Instructions:
    1. Heat ginger slices in oil (high heat)
    2. Add beans and stir fry in medium heat for a few minutes
    3. Add dried vegetarian ground "pork" and stir a little
    4. Add water and cook for a couple of minutes
    5. Add liquid amino acids (or shoyu) and dried red pepper and stir
    6. Add sliced almonds and salt (optional)
    7. Stir fry for one minute. Then remove from wok
    8. Serves two to three

    Where to get the "pork."
    It is PLT Vegetarian Foods
    1123 Kapahulu Ave.
    722-9782

It is difficult to find! If you go to the top of Kapahulu, go under the freeway overpass and it is the 2nd driveway on the right. It looks like a house or apartment building, not a business. There is a small sign.
