This is very strong and should be eaten with rice and vegetable. Alone the taste is pretty bold.
Ingredients: 1 package White Wave Seitan (cold case at Down To Earth) 1 TBS light soy sauce 1 TBS sugar 1-2 TBS vegetarian oyster sauce 1 tsp rice vinegar 1 TBS ketchup 1 tsp Lee Kum Kee black bean garlic sauce 1/4 cup water 2 TBS peanut oilInstructions: Slice seitan. In a bowl combine soy sauce, sugar, oyster sauce, vinegar, ketchup, black bean sauce and water. Add the seitan and let it marinate for a few minutes.In a non stick pan, heat peanut oil. Toss in the seitan and sauce and cook over medium high heat until the sauce reduces down to a glaze.
