KITV 4 anchor Mahealani Richardson gave birth Tuesday morning to a baby boy.

KITV 4 anchor Mahealani Richardson holds her newborn son Kanekoa Yasutake.
Richardson and her husband, Michael Yasutake, welcomed Kanekoa Yasutake. It is the couple's first child.

Kanekoa Yasutake was born at 3:40 a.m., at 6 pounds 1 ounces and 18.5 inches long at Queen's Medical Center.

The mother and baby are doing well, dad reports.
